Refrigeration

With summer here, now is the time to check and service your refrigeration equipment. Make sure your compressor and components are clean and free of dirt and other debris. If your door seals are not sealing correctly, you are losing cold air and wasting energy. This also means your compressor is probably running more than it should, putting extra wear and tear on it.

      Another thing to keep in mind is that older refrigeration equipment is not as effecient as new, energy star certified equipment and can cost you

significantly more to operate. The money saved in electricity could make up the cost difference fairly quickly. We have a lot of late model used units in stock, and will also gladly take your old units in on trade.

Make-up air fans

A hot kitchen needs all the ventilation your make-up air fan can provide. If it doesn't feel like your return air is working like it should it may be more than just the summer heat.

Most make-up air fans have filters similar to your household furnace or heating system. If these are dirty it will significantly reduce the amount of intake air that your kitchen is receiving. You should check them regularly, and replace them as needed. If you don't feel comfortable or have the time to get up on your roof and check your return air system out, you can give us a call. We service and repair exhaust and intake fans on a regular basis.
